The K375NW is AeroTech¹s first 54mm Boost-Sustain motor. It uses a core burning Warp-9 grain placed at the aft (nozzle) end of the motor followed by four core burning grains using a slower-burning version of AeroTech¹s White Lightning propellant. Upon ignition, all five grains burn together and produce a boost thrust phase of 300 pounds for slightly over 0.5 seconds until burnout of the Warp-9 grain, which is immediately followed by a sustain burn from the remainder of the White Lightning grains of approximately 80 pounds, for a total burn time of nearly 6 seconds. The effect is remarkable and the transition from boost to sustain can be clearly seen on the test stand and in flight.
